East Providence Career and Technical Calendar is seeking a Licensed Electrician to teach the newly created Electrical Technology program of study for the 2019 -2020 academic year.

The Teacher must have:
Five years of verifiable experience in the industry
Hold a state Journeyman Electrical license
Hold a state contractor's license
Have a Rhode Island Department of Education CTE teaching certification OR be eligible to obtain one

The Electrical Technology instructor will be required to teach utilizing the NCCER, HBI electrical curriculum or another approved Curriculum:
♦ Electrical safety and OSHA
♦ Introduction to electrical circuits
♦ Electrical theory AC and DC
♦ Device box design and sizing
♦ Hand bending electrical tubing
♦ Raceways and fittings
♦ Conductors and cables
♦ Introduction to the National Electrical Code
♦ Basic electrical construction drawings
♦ Residential wiring methods
♦ Residential electrical service
♦ Grounding and bonding
♦ Circuit breakers and fuses
♦ Home automation and low voltage systems
♦ Electrical testing and troubleshooting
♦ Electrical motors: theory and applications
♦ Control systems and fundamental concepts
♦ Conductor terminations and splices
♦ And all other electrical instruction that will offer students advanced standing as a registered apprentice upon graduation
♦ Alarm systems (security and fire)
♦ Audio and visual
♦ Solar and wind technology
♦ Program controllers
